Pregnancy and Postpartum

Are you pregnant, or have you recently had a child? Are you struggling with the changes that come with the arrival of a new baby?

I work with women and couples during pregnancy, postpartum, and early childhood years. Therapy can be a valuable resource at this time to adjust to changes, think through parenting choices, cope with a traumatic birth or medical issues, or to learn how to better communicate your needs. I find that entering therapy even before any issues emerge can be helpful, as new parenthood is always challenging! I work with new parents who have experienced birth trauma, who want to explore how they were parented and how that affects their parenting choices, are coping with chronic mental illness, are struggling to communicate needs with a partner or family members, or who are just dealing with the stressors of the loss of independence and sleep that comes with a new child.

I completed my PMH-C (perinatal mental health certification) in 2021, and continue to complete continuing education courses in this area to keep my knowledge up to date.
